Brand, model, and configuration are enough for us to scope a cot assembly job. Send a product link and we'll come back with a fixed price and a booking time that holds.

Cot assembly is the one piece of furniture you build specifically so a newborn can sleep safely in it. The bar for getting every fitting right is higher than usual. Here's what the work covers.
The core build covers standard cots, convertible cots (the ones that turn into toddler beds and later single beds), four-in-one cots, sleigh cots, mini cots, and bassinets. The work follows the manufacturer's manual closely, with extra attention paid to anything safety-related. Cot frames need to be squared and tightened to spec so the structure doesn't loosen and develop play over months of use. The mattress base is set at the manufacturer's recommended height for a newborn (usually the highest setting). Slat spacing, drop-side mechanisms, and corner fittings are checked against the manual before we leave. Brands we work across include Mocka, Boori, Babyhood, Bertini, Babyrest, IKEA SUNDVIK and GULLIVER, and most NZ nursery retailers.
Convertible cots are increasingly common, often sold as "four-in-one" or "3-in-1" systems that go from cot to toddler bed to daybed to single bed. The initial cot build is the same as any standard cot. The difference is that the conversion hardware ships in the same box and needs to be stored safely for one to three years until it's needed. We build the cot stage, label and bag the conversion parts so they don't get lost, and explain what each part is for. When the time comes to convert, you can request the next stage at a fixed quote.
A new nursery is rarely just a cot. Most setups include a changing table, a chest of drawers or tallboy, sometimes a nursery wardrobe, and a glider or nursing chair. We build all of these as part of a single nursery setup, quoted as a bundle. Changing tables are short jobs (usually 20 to 40 minutes), tallboys and dressers run longer (with wall-anchoring available on request), glider chairs are straightforward builds, and nursery wardrobes follow the same process as any wardrobe. Once everything is built and anchored, the packaging leaves with us: cardboard, polystyrene, plastic wrap, manuals, and the bag of dowels you'll never need. The room is swept before we go.
