Convertible cots, full nursery setups (cot plus changing table plus dresser), and cot-and-changing-table bundles sit higher. We send fixed quotes based on what you're putting in the nursery. Send product links for everything in scope and we'll send a price that holds. Nursery setups are quoted as a bundle, which is cheaper than booking each piece separately.

All flatpack cots sold in New Zealand. Common cot categories include standard cots, convertible cots (the ones that turn into toddler beds and later single beds), four-in-one cots, sleigh cots, mini cots, portable cots, and bassinets. Brand-wise: Mocka, Boori, Babyhood, Bertini, Babyrest, Love N Care, IKEA (SUNDVIK, GULLIVER, SNIGLAR), and most NZ nursery retailers. If your cot is from somewhere not listed, send a link.

Yes. Mocka cots are widely sold across the New Zealand market, and we work across the full Mocka range including standard cots, convertible cots (the Sweet Dreams range and similar), mini cots, and bassinets. Conversion hardware (toddler bed rails, daybed conversion kits) is labelled and bagged for future use if it's not being fitted at the initial build.

Yes. Convertible cots that transition from cot to toddler bed to daybed to single bed are a frequent nursery need. The initial cot build is the same as a standard cot. The difference is the conversion hardware that ships in the same box, which we label and bag so it doesn't get lost during the year or two before it's needed. When you're ready to convert, you can request the next stage at a fixed quote.

Yes. Nursery furniture is often bought as a set, and we quote nursery setups as a bundle. A typical setup is a cot, a changing table, a chest of drawers or tallboy (with wall-anchoring available on request), and sometimes a glider chair or nursing chair. Larger setups can include a nursery wardrobe and a bookshelf. Send product links for everything you're putting in the room and we'll scope it as one visit.

We build cots strictly to the manufacturer's manual. Fittings are torqued to the specified force, the frame is squared so it doesn't develop play over months of use, and slat spacing and mattress base height are checked against the manual before we leave. Cots sold in New Zealand are designed by their manufacturers to meet the AS/NZS 2172 safety standard; following the manual during assembly is how that safety design carries through to the built cot. We don't certify cots ourselves. We build to spec.

A standard cot is usually 45 minutes to 1 hour. A convertible cot or sleigh cot runs 1 to 1.5 hours. A full nursery setup (cot plus changing table plus dresser plus glider chair) is usually a half-day with two builders. We give you a time estimate with the fixed quote so you can plan around it.

We recommend booking two to six weeks ahead of the due date so the nursery is ready well in advance. Booking ahead also means you get your choice of weekday and time. We can usually accommodate shorter notice, but lead times stretch out around major retailer sale events when nursery furniture orders spike. If your due date is close, tell us when you request a quote and we'll do what we can to fit you in.

Yes. Cots and nursery furniture are commonly disassembled for moves. We disassemble in reverse order, label and bag every fitting, and protect the panels for transit. At the destination we rebuild from the same fittings and re-level the cot on the new floor. Conversion hardware (if not yet fitted) is bagged with the cot.

We pause, document what's wrong, and help you raise a parts request with the retailer. We'll finish whatever we safely can with what's available, then come back at no charge to complete the job once the replacement arrives. For cots specifically, we won't leave a structurally incomplete cot in service. If a structural part is missing or damaged, the cot stays unfinished until the replacement is in hand.

All of Auckland. North Shore, Central, East, West, South, Manukau, Howick, Pakuranga, Albany, the Hibiscus Coast, and the rural fringes. Out-of-city jobs are quoted with a small travel allowance. If you're outside our usual range, ask anyway.
