Outdoor dining set on a patio with flatpack boxes and mountains in the background, Wanaka

Relax Wanaka.
We'll assemble
the flatpack.

We assemble.

How wand works.

Step 1

Tell us the item.

Brand, model, and what you need assembled. Send a product link and we'll come back with a fixed price and a booking time that holds.

Step 2

We come to you.

Right tools, right van, across Wanaka and the surrounding district. Bigger jobs (trampolines, sheds, wardrobes) take longer, and we scope the time so the job's done in one visit.

Step 3

We assemble.

We build, level, anchor where needed, and finish. Packaging gone, room or yard swept. Ready to use before we leave.

Hassle to handled.

Ask around.

We looked at a few providers to assemble and install our IKEA pax wardrobe. We're so happy we went with the team at Wand. Great communication, reasonable pricing, prompt and did an excellent job going above and beyond to ensure the experience was a great one.

Trampoline (springless) relocation and install by Daniel. Was faultless service and comms and I simply could not recommend highly enough. Was even installed on long weekend.

Dion Rowntree

Such a wonderful service and experience with Daniel from Wand who made my move completely stress free by assembling the 2 kids beds, my bed and our couch all before the kids got home from school. Will be booking again shortly for our next Mocka order for the playroom. Thanks so much Daniel!

What we assemble in Wanaka

A Wanaka weekend is worth more than a flatpack. Wand builds the things you'd rather not, anywhere in the district, so yours stays yours. Here's what the work covers.

Flatpack and furniture assembly

Flatpack and furniture assembly in Wanaka covers the full range of what arrives in a box from a New Zealand retailer. Beds and bed frames, wardrobes (freestanding, sliding-door, and IKEA PAX), drawers and tallboys, desks and home offices, dining and coffee tables, bookshelves, and cots. The work is the same in principle across all of it: lay the parts out against the manifest, follow the manual page by page, and tighten every fitting to spec so nothing loosens or develops play. We level pieces on uneven floors, set drawers and doors so they glide and sit flush, and anchor tall furniture (wardrobes, tallboys, bookshelves) to the wall, which matters in any home with kids climbing on things. With Wanaka's mix of new builds and holiday homes, a lot of furniture lands as flatpack all at once, and a multi-piece job is quoted as one bundle rather than per item.

Outdoor, play, and kitset structures

Outdoor and kitset assembly is where the bigger jobs live. Trampolines (Springfree, spring, and in-ground), playsets and swing sets, garden sheds, pergolas, BBQs, and outdoor furniture. These are the jobs most worth handing over, because they run to hundreds of fittings and a long afternoon. Trampolines and sheds get anchored for the wind, which is not optional in a place that gets the conditions Wanaka does. For BBQs, we hook up and leak-test the gas bottle. For trampolines and playsets, we tension and check every safety detail before we leave. We assemble kitset structures onto a base you've prepared, but we don't pour concrete, dig footings, or excavate trampoline pits. That's groundwork for a separate trade, and we'll time our visit to when the base is ready.

Moves, disassembly, and how it finishes

Wand also takes furniture apart. For a move, a disposal, or just shifting a piece to another room, we disassemble in the right order, label and bag every fitting, and protect the panels for transit. For a move within the district, we can disassemble at one address and rebuild at the other, so the same person who took it apart puts it back together and nothing goes missing in between. Whatever the job, it finishes the same way: the packaging leaves with us, cardboard, polystyrene, plastic wrap, and the bag of dowels you'll never need, and the room or yard is swept before we go. The space looks like it did before, minus a flat box and plus a finished piece.
